<Bob>Elise can you give us an update on injury to Chris Polk?”

<Elise>It doesn’t look like he’s going to be coming back in to the game, the trainers have his shoe off and are working on his ankle.

<Bob>What a time to have him off the field Chuck, after the day he’s had.

<Chuck>Definitely, 178 yards rushing against this Nebraska defense is a testament to both Polk and the play of the offensive line.  The only good thing is they need 30 yards on the next play and Chris would be the 3rd or 4th option on a play like that.  Let’s hope that Zach Fogerson can provide the extra blocking needed for Keith to make a play.  Whooo What a game!

<Bob>What a game indeed!  It’s been the tale of two halves here today in Lincoln. To go down 24-0 in the first half and then claw your way back into the game on the shoulders of Chris Polk who ran for 150 yards in the second half with two touchdowns and that run for the ages from the Husky 3, well here we are with a chance to win it with 11 seconds left.

<Chuck>They still need one big play to set up Folk.

<Bob>Do you think Sark will set up Kearse, or will he use him as a decoy?

<Chuck>Jermaine Kearse is the Huskies number one receiver, both today and the season.  These are the times when a player like that needs to step up his game.  Sark will send in the play for Jermaine.  Keith and Jermaine need to make it happen.

<Bob>They’re coming out of the timeout.  And it is Fergoson taking Polk’s place in the backfield.  Three wides, Kearse on the far side from us, he’s doubled.  Price in the shotgun Cody Bruns goes in motion.

<Chuck>Denard’s on Kearse.

<Bob>Keith gets the ball, rolls right, Fogerson picks up Lavonte David.

<Chuck>Kearse is open! Kearse is open!

<Bob>Price lets it go, Kearse DIVES for it and makes a spectacular grab! First down Washington!  Jermaine jumps up and calls timeout in front of the refs.   What a catch!  First down on the Huskers 34 yard line.  Whew!  And lookit the clock… THREE TENTHS OF A SECOND LEFT!

<Chuck>Man among boys Bob, Jermaine Kearse is just too complete a package for Denard to cover.  It’s unfair that someone so big is also so athletic.  He leapt after that ball like superman.

<Bob>Well Kearse has done his job now it’s up to Folk to see if the Huskies can pull off one of the great wins in Washington History.  It reminds me so much of that 1991 game down here in Lincoln, could we get the same result again?

<Chuck>Folk made the 32 yarder in the third quarter, but this one is a much different kick.   A 49 yarder with the game on the line.

<Bob>Well here they come out of timeout, Montana to hold for Folk.  Will Nebraska ice him?  Doesn’t look like it.  There’s the hike and the kick is away!

This is one of the coolest twists I’ve read about in awhile but what if Ferris and his girlfriend Sloane are merely the figments of Cameron’s imagination and the culmination of the movie is him breaking out of his psychosis by destroying his dad’s prized car.

Complete mindbender!

Makes me want to watch the movie again.

Go read about this and other supposed fan theories that make the film better over at Cracked [caution - bad language].

Mount Everest from a Mile Above  …linky

This awe-inspiring photograph captures the majesty of Mount Everest as you've never seen it before - from more than a mile above.

The spectacular panorama shows the breathtaking landscape of the Himalayas from six miles above sea level. It was shot by an intrepid British photographer wearing breathing apparatus in -56C temperatures 36,000 feet up.

It is believed to be the highest panoramic picture taken by hand from a balloon, and was described by mountaineer Reinhold Messner as the 'best snap on earth'.

'Best snap on Earth': Everest dominates the picture, shot from 36,000ft and in -56C temperatures by Leo Dickinson on the world's first-ever balloon flight over the highest mountain. The curvature of the planet is exaggerated by the wide-angle lens.

The summit of Everest, the world's highest peak at 29,035ft, takes centre stage above the 11,000ft vertical drop of the Kangshung Face, on the eastern side of the mountain.

British filmmaker and adventure cameraman Leo Dickinson took the photo from the stratosphere during his record-breaking balloon flight over Everest.

With Nepal on the left of the frame and Tibet on the right, the stunning skyline westward shows nine of the planet's highest summits.

These include Lhotse (27,940ft), Cho Oyu (26,906ft), Gyachung Kang (26,089 feet), Nuptse (25,850ft), Peak 38 (24, 904ft), Changtse (24,770ft), Shartse (24,471ft) and Ama Dablam (22,349ft).

Up, up and away: Adventure filmmaker Leo Dickinson in his hot air balloon over the Himalayas shortly before he took the photo

Mr Dickinson, 62 & married, soared to 36,000ft - where temperatures dropped to minus 56 degrees Celsius - to become the first person to fly over Everest in a balloon.

He took this picture using a hand-held 35mm camera with a wide-angle lens while standing in the balloon's wicker cabin. The original photograph was shot in 1991 on the classic Kodachrome film - axed last month due to the rise of digital cameras. It was digitally remastered for the first time this week.

Dickinson of Budleigh Salterton, Devon , said: 'This photograph is one of the finest I've taken, and I'm immensely proud of it'.

'It took several minutes to set up - I was in the stratosphere and carrying bulky breathing apparatus - and I wasn't sure it would even come out'.

'So when it was developed, and it came out like this, you can imagine my delight. It's a scene that I'll remember for the rest of my life.'

Dickinson's Everest expedition took 10 years to plan, involved 150 porters and 50 yaks, and almost cost him his life. His epic journey from the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu to Tibet was chronicled in an award-winning documentary Ballooning Over Everest.

This was one of the best sailing trips I’ve ever done, even the scotch was cheap!

They will also need to prepare a blog, a photo diary and video updates to attract tourists to the area.
